Giles Insurance appoints Simon Pearce as Chief Operating Officer

Giles Insurance Group, the top five national broker, announces a further strengthening of the management team with the appointment of Simon Pearce as Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.

Simon is a results-driven professional with a proven track record in delivering P&L success and has significant experience in business turnaround, operational management, sales and marketing, business development and strategic planning.

Simon joins from Brightside Group PLC, one of the fastest growing insurance broking and financial services businesses in the UK, where he spent the last three years in the position of Chief Operating Officer.  Here he was responsible for all operational activities across the group, including online and call centre sales, lead generation, marketing, premium financing and human resource management.  He is credited with helping to drive revenues, improving operating margins, and aiding the group execute an aggressive growth strategy.

Simon also held the position of Managing Director of Panacea Finance, a subsidiary of Brightside.  During his time he succeeded in turning Panacea into a fast growing, hugely profitable premium finance business supported by a robust, system driven infrastructure.

Simon began his career at Premium Credit Limited where he spent nearly ten years in a variety of sales and marketing and development roles.
