Changes to personal injury claims handling in 2013
In 2010, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) introduced changes to the legal system, requiring solicitors to report all RTA Motor personal injury claims (with a value between £1,000 and £10,000) via a newly introduced online claims portal. The intention of the portal, and indeed the associated claims reforms, was to introduce strict claims handling timescales to help speed up the claims settlement process and also to set out fixed legal fees for defined stages throughout the process. } read on
