An organisation in the care sector is aiming to recognise the hard work its staff contributes by launching an employee recognition scheme.
According to online magazine HR, managers from various units at Care UK will be given the ability to nominate members of their team if extra effort is put in, or something special is undertaken.
Spokesperson for the company Lisa McGill was quoted as saying the programme is "bespoke" and intended to ensure the workforce is treated with the same care and respect as it demonstrates to patients and their loved ones.
The winner of each prize will be able to choose a reward from a specific website.
"It was important for us to streamline our employee reward process in order to ensure that all members of staff knew that their work would be appreciated and formally recognised," Ms McGill added.
HR initiatives in the care sector are often seen as just as important as in any other, as recent developments in the retail industry showed. Horticulture Week reports that the Retail Trainee of the Year award is to be presented next November for vendors who "make a difference".
