A leap in technology for home security means that people can now take control of protecting their properties
This is according to owner and business strategist of Locked Up Monitored Security Martin West, who suggests wire-free home automation offers a solution that is monitored 24 hours a day.
He explains that such systems are easy to use, operated by remote control and pet proof, with the option to switch it between platforms, from hard line to broadband or GPRS.
Mr West notes systems provide greater flexibility to homeowners, allowing them to operate them from desktop computers or iPhones, adjusting them from work during the day.
"If you want the house to look occupied, you can work lights, close curtains, switch music on and off," he points out.
Similarly, Gadget-Spot.co.uk sales manager Terry Inns has pointed to internet protocol CCTV security cameras as a means to protect the home environment, with laptop software available to manage systems over the web.
