A celebrated London pub is to reopen after it was badly damaged in a blaze.

The Hawley Arms, located in the trendy Camden area of the capital, was gutted in the fire earlier this year, reports the BBC.

Amy Winehouse and Razorlight are among past visitors to the watering hole.

During a party to celebrate the reopening of the venue, a host of up and coming artists performed, including The Brute Chorus singer James Steel who said: "It's very nice to be in the The Hawley Arms again.

"Long live The Hawley Arms."

The closure of the business following the fire is a reminder to other establishments of the importance of pub insurance.

Recently, a road in Newton Abbot was closed after a fire began at local bar, reports the Herald Express.

Firefighters were called to the Cider Bar after hot embers from a gas fire got caught in a wooden surround.
