Giles and the community

Giles Insurance Brokers Ltd believes that every organisation should take its relationships with the local community seriously. We are a national business, operating at a local level in over 40 towns and cities across the UK.

Giles in the Community is an initiative designed to help support the local communities in which we operate. Getting involved in fundraising and hands-on support for charitable causes is enriching for the charities and projects we support, and also for our employees. By working to give something back we build understanding, confidence and a sense of wider purpose.

Employee volunteer scheme

This scheme encourages staff to take an active role in helping out those individuals and organisations most at need in their local area. Groups of employees participate in local community projects such as helping to paint a local school or gardening work.

Charity of the Year

Each year Giles names a corporate charity for which we fundraise across the whole business. In 2011/12, we chose the charity Together For Short Lives, which provides a voice and support to the UK’s 43 children’s hospice services. Giles are shortly to announce their Charity Of The Year for 2013!
