Giles Management changes

Giles Insurance Brokers Ltd (“Giles” or “the Group”), the independent insurance broker, announces the following changes to its Executive Management Team.

Sarah Lyons, currently Group Operations Director, is promoted to Group Managing Director. Sarah, who joined Giles in 2007, is also appointed to the Investor Board which works closely with Charterhouse. In this new appointment, Sarah will report to Chris Giles, CEO.

Steve Smith and Simon Brooke are both promoted to the Executive Management Team as Retail Managing Directors with Steve taking responsibility for the North of the UK and Simon taking responsibility for the South of the UK including Wales. Steve and Simon will report to Sarah Lyons. Howard Pearson, currently Retail Managing Director, will be leaving the Group shortly.

Following today’s changes, the Executive Management Team of Giles is now as follows:

Sarah Lyons, Group MD
Mark Addis, Wholesale MD
Hazel McIntyre, M&A Director
Steve Smith, Retail MD (North)
Simon Brooke, Retail MD (South)

George Prescott, Non-executive Chairman of Giles, commented:

“This restructuring reflects the changing needs of Giles as we continue to grow organically and by acquisition. By promoting Sarah Lyons, one of our most talented executives, and splitting the responsibilities of the Retail MDs, the Group is now positioned to assimilate and benefit from the considerable change that I expect to see in Giles over the coming months and years.”
